The Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, has reacted to a viral video of a clergy identified as Apostle Kassy Chukwu placing curses on actors for visiting former Governor of Lagos state and presidential aspirant, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Apostle Chukwu in the viral video derided those promoting Bola Tinubu as the next President of Nigeria and also called out actors for visiting him when they should be fighting for the good of the common man and digging to know who killed protesters at the Lekki toll gate in 2020. The cleric also said whatever endorsement they get will “k!ll” the actors.
Apostle Kassy further stated that he would leave Nigeria if Tinubu clinches the 2023 presidency.
Reacting to this, the AGN stated that those that visited the All Progressives Congress national leader do not represent the guild and that they are at liberty to do so.
The AGN described the Pastor’s claim as libelous and further asked the Christain Association of Nigeria and Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria to call the “nescience pastor and his luciferous preaching” to order, adding that no man had the monopoly of cyber bullying.
Chukwu has been in the news lately for courting controversy. A few days ago, he slammed Port Harcourt-based cleric, David Ibiyeomie, for cursing Yahoo boys and stating that none of the curses placed on the Internet fraudsters would work.
According to him, everywhere is peaceful and no cult clashes are recorded because the boys have something they are engaged in.
”Wetin concern you concern Yahoo people? Are they the problem of Nigeria? He should stop talking like that. That prayer will not work! You cannot curse Yahoo boys. At all! E dey forbid to curse politicians. Why e nor go curse politicians? Because na them dey him church. Na them dey buy the private jets for them. Na them dey buy the big big motor for them. All the big big motor he is driving, who is buying it for him?” he had said.
